Is hypnosis dangerous?

Hypnosis is a normal state of mind, one which most people go in and out of every day. When you are watching a movie that you are engrossed in, driving down a long monotonous road, listening to music that captures a mood or engrosses you, you are in hypnosis. We experience hypnosis every day and don't even know it. When you are in a guided hypnotic trance session, or driving down the road in trance, you have an observer self, which is an actual part of you that is always aware and watching out for you. This observer self has been documented as a credible aspect of our mind, that keeps us safe, even when asleep. During hypnosis you can trust that your observer self will watch over you. This is not a guide or spiritual being, is a scientific discovery of a function of our brain. During a hypnosis session you would instantly get up and leave the room if it caught on fire, even if had previously felt like your arms and leg were too heavy to move. In fact, since hypnosis can help make us sharper and more aware mentally, it actually may help keep us safer, by making us more aware of our surroundings during the day. If your perception of what is happening around you is better, you will notice things that are happening with greater clarity and perhaps make better decisions.

I feel nervous and quite apprehensive about my LBL session.

Many of us can feel this way when we are facing the unknown. From choice, we are leaving our 'comfort zone', because we have finally arrived at the point where we are likely to make a giant leap forward on a spiritual level. Just allow yourself to relax and remove all pressure and open yourself to a fantastic experience.

Can I get 'stuck' in my LBL - are you sure you will be able to bring me back?

Your Life Between Lives experience will be accessed via deep hypnosis, which means your body and your conscious mind will be deeply relaxed throughout. But your ability to return to full awareness is without question, no matter how deep your hypnosis. Your TNI-trained LBL facilitator is an experienced hypnotherapist with the role of guiding your journey, the aim of ensuring that your LBL is meaningful, the ability to assist in your travels throughout 'Soul Home' - and the expertise to bring you comfortably back to full awareness, returning with clear and valuable memories of your experience. You will not become 'stuck'. But you may wish you could stay, or to return again and again...!

Will I remember what happens in my LBL regression?

Most clients do recall the majority of their session, although sometimes you might find that you are in such a deep state of relaxation that recall of certain points may be hazy later. LBL therapists will make a recording of your session so that you can fully relax and enjoy the experience, safe in the knowledge that
you may refer back to any part of your journey into the spirit world at a future date.

What if it doesn't work?

Your experienced LBL facilitator will do their very best to help you experience you life between lives fully and get the answers to the questions you have brought along. 99% of the time you will enjoy an interesting and profound experience, however very occasionally a client will receive a shorter session or a session where they cannot seem to access information they have come to retrieve. Your facilitator can prompt your guide and ask for assistance but must work with integrity and respect for all beings at all times. Sometimes you will receive something that does not match with your expectations, but whatever is received is right in that moment for you as it is given to you by your guides, your Council and the source of all that is.

Can I receive more than one LBL session?

It is possible and often beneficial to receive more than one LBL. In the first session, the main questions are usually answered and clients tend to spend time with their soul group and the Council. In subsequent sessions it is possible to explore other activities and to concentrate on more specialised soul memories. LBL sessions that are experienced with a wide time lapse in between may focus on different things because the client needs different information and guidance, depending on their current life challenges.

I am worried that an LBL session may trigger dormant mental health problems.

We are not here to address issues of trauma or mental health but for enlightenment and understanding. The unconscious mind is a powerful friend to you and it will decide the memories that you will recover and it will do nothing to harm you. The LBL therapist adds nothing and takes nothing away; they don’t provide you with any images or thoughts or interfere in the substance of your memories, therefore, in both the unconscious mind and conscious one you remain in complete control. The therapist will just assist and help the process to help you to achieve what you want.

What if I become anxious or distressed during my session?

It is unlikely that you will experience distress during your session. It is important, however, to inform your facilitator about any traumatic "this life" memories that you know about, say for example, a nasty accident when you were 5 years old, because, then your facilitator can avoid asking you about memories from that time. It is not our purpose, during the LBL session, to address deep trauma or to resolve unhealed matters from your life now that require more conventional therapy. It may be advisable to discuss this with your facilitator prior to your session, in case it is felt that treatment is required. Generally speaking, however, the client who connects with their soul identity during LBL is able to look upon all the travails of life with a unique and detached awareness. You will be astonished how the soul's perspective on matters is so wise and so knowing. You will be able to uncover the soul reasons why you chose to experience life's difficulties and integrate this wisdom into your life now. So, a client who has to face distressing events while in the LBL state, will, generally, be doing so from the higher perspective, rather than focussing on these matters from a human/emotional point of view.

How can I ensure that I have a successful LBL session?

Follow the tips found on the page 'Preparation'. Consult with your chosen facilitator and allow sufficient time for preparation. Always tell your facilitator about any concerns or doubts you have, then these can be addressed prior to the session. Be prepared to postpone your session if you are physically or emotionally unwell, it may interfere with your session.
